Green dogs.

Here are some photos from our winter walk this morning around Cornwall Park. This is one of my favorite places to walk in Auckland, and I've posted about this park before (Climbing a volcano,  Winter, My Sunday walk in the ParkSpring is here) if you want to check out the view from the top, and what the park looks like in other seasons.

As long as dogs are on a lead we can go where ever we want to including in paddocks that have sheep, cattle and even roosters! There are so many smells to explore, things for me to sniff out and roll in. However my human always finds it amusing that she has to carry plastic bags to collect any deposits Enzo and I make (and then place these bags inside a green dog) while carefully watching where she walks so she doesn't step in the massive cow deposits and what the sheep have left behind in the same field!

Enjoy your Sunday.

Woofs,
Riley and Enzo

PS On our everyday walks around the neighborhood mum always uses plastic bags to tidy up after us so the streets are left clean. At this park she also always cleans up after us, but she is amazed by how much the cows and sheep leave on the grass that doesn't need to be picked up. Of course, for our noses, what the sheep and cows leave behind is extra  interesting!

Lovely Beautiful place to go for a long walk. So glad they allow dogs. The green dog goes along well with the green scenery. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

I guess the green dogs make it easy to find a place to put the poop. ...do you think there are green cows for the farmers to put the cow poop?

Cornwall Park is really pretty!

I always bring plastic bags along when I walk the dogs too. I saw a lady walking a poodle this evening next to my neighbor's yard. She kept staring at me, and I wondered if her dog was about to deposit something on the neighbor's lawn and she didn't plan to clean it up. I didn't see her carrying any bags with her, although I suppose one could have been stuffed in her pocket.

Be careful of those chickens...wow, if they get mad they can leave a mark! It looks like you have such a lovely place for walks.

Oh gosh - these pictures bring back such memories!!! WE MISS NZ!!!!!!!! :-(

Cornwall Park is one of my all-time favourite walks - and that's after living in 5 cities! ;-) But yeah, we remember about the cowpats and things...at least all your human has to worry about is stepping on them - Hsin-Yi used to have to worry about me sneakily EATING them!! ;-)

I'd question the need for the green dogs too, when there are gorgeous dogs like yours around! (but I do see the purpose...)
