On Friday afternoon I went with my human to advise her on what she needs to buy for our garden. It is spring here in New Zealand, and I had lots of fun checking out the plants, smelling the roses and getting pats from other people at this dog friendly place. We went home with some seedlings, a lovely new rose bush, lots of vegetable seeds, moth traps for our apple tree and some seed raising mix.

So tell me do you help or hinder your humans gardening efforts? Enzo likes to dig big holes in the lawn when no one is looking, but I prefer to keep my human company while she is trying to make plants grow in the garden. What do you do?

Riley

Molly loves helping our peeps out - especially the digging part and I just like the hanging out part of it. Have fun, Riley and Enzo!
Love ya lots♥

I like moving my squeeky hedgehogs just infront of the mower. Did it yesterday for the last time this year as it's our late autumn.
You are a super helper. We love the pictures of your bright pretty flowers and such.
Sam was a help, Harlow and Monty are both definitely hinderers...

I had no idea there was such a thing as moth traps!
My boys think they need to be involved in whatever it is I'm doing. I don't garden, but if I did, I'm afraid my boys would pee on it.
The traps are for codling moth to stop the codling moth larva getting into our apples. The trap is like old fashioned fly paper, and the smell attracts the male moth (so the number of new moths reduces and we don't have to spray as much).
Wonderful dog ,and that pictuee on the header was amazing nice to meet you! :)

I'm so jealous that it's spring there!
When my dogs become mature, they tend to "cover my back" while I garden because we have big dangerous cougars that live around our house. Before they're mature, they chase squirrels and generally cannot be trusted if they're not supervised very closely!
What a great helper you are, sweet Riley! How nice that it is spring there now. Enjoy!
Well, it is a bit confusing to yours truly that you are thinking flowers and around here we're thinking winter coats. Lovely to see your spring photos.
Do be careful how you assist with the digging and planting. Humans have odd ideas about those things.
Kisses,
Dexter

Greetings. Me and Nellie are New Zealand dogs too. We live in the sunny Mangamahu valley, near Wanganui. We are most interested in reading about other New Zealand dogs and their adventures. Love Nellie and Jaspers, the two bestest maremmas in all the land.
